Mike + Andrea, Positano Wedding

On the Amalfi Coast in Positano these two tied the knot surounded by friends and family who had travelled from all over the globe to be part of this magical experience. One of my favourite moments from the day was when Andrea had finished her vows, Mike turned and looked straight at the camera like he was the luckiest man in the world, a moment I was lucky enough to document for them.

Congrats you two, they did it y’all!

Kim + Andrea, The Shearing Shed, Phillip Island

As we did their portraits at dusk Andrea laughed this is why I couldn’t handle doing all the getting ready shots they where a ball of giggles and cheeky jokes (which I loved). I was smiling I knew what I was getting was gold at golden hour. Them as they are in love, happy and themselves. When we spoke on the phone a few days earlier to do the final run through I loved how they explained their day, their dog Ruby would walk down the aisle with them, they didn’t want long for photos they wanted to celebrate and so we did just that. About 10 minutes of portraits and one big party!

Sam + Georgia Wedding Mornington Peninsula

I love couples who are not afraid to make their wedding day truly about them and break a few rules. A few months out from their wedding I received an email from Sam & Georgia apologising that they had decided to change their wedding plans, downsize their day as it just didn’t feel like them to have a big wedding. I was thrilled, my greatest hope for my couples on their day is it is everything THEY WANT not what anyone else wants. So fast forward a few months and this was easily one of my favourite weddings of the year and I had some goodies this year!

I loved that they walked down the aisle together, I loved that Sam had two of his childhood mates who happened to be girls in his bridal party because well they are his best mates and I loved that they had an intimate dinner which was perfectly them. The whole day was relaxed and fun and Georgia I am still obsessing over her dress!

Alex + Liz - Peregrine Wines, Queenstown Wedding

I actually cannot imagine a more beautiful place than the Queenstown region, it is literally one of the most beautiful places on earth and as I scouted for locations for the wedding day I stumbled upon more and more hidden gems. Lets just say I want to work here more.

I have to give the biggest shout out to my Bride in particular, in the week leading up to the wedding Queenstown had some rather unusual weather including snow in November and on the wedding day we had some rain. As you will see from the photos that in no way held us back from heading into the mountains and braving the chill in the air and a few rain drops. Liz had sent me a message a few days earlier which said I trust your judgement and we are in your hands - music to every photographers ears!

A million thank yous for all of your trust. Thank you xx

Hello, World!

Stuart + Liz - The Powerhouse, Brisbane

Stuart + Liz - The Powerhouse, Brisbane

I first met Stuart over a decade ago through the music industry back when I thought I was going to be the next Madonna. I knew his wedding to Liz was going to be fun and it did not disappoint. As soon as I heard that they were holding the wedding at the industrial style Powerhouse in Brisbane it set the tone for it to be an epic day.

TJ + Nicole - The Foundry, New York

TJ + Nicole - The Foundry, New York

When I first received an enquiry from Nicole my heart skipped a beat. When we spoke via Skype I have to say I ended that Skype call at around 4am my time and could not have been more excited, She and TJ had described their day to me in such detail and I truly could not have designed a more perfect wedding in New York in my wildest dreams.

Pat + Lilly - The Substation, Melbourne

Pat + Lilly - The Substation, Melbourne

Pat + Lily were married at the same church were Pat’s parents had married decades earlier, which I think sets a tone for how much value they place on the integral role their families play in their life. I also have to mention Andre, the couples German Shepard/ Fur baby who totally stole my heart.
